labor day

September 3, 2015

As many of you know, my cookbook Kitchen Revelry is organized around a calendar, and the first chapter is September.  September – and Labor Day – historically is a period of transition:  Back to school, fall, the beginning of the holiday and social season.  This Labor Day weekend signals a big moment of transition for me as my family and I are departing for a great adventure in South Africa where I’m reprising my role of Clare Redfield in the “Resident Evil” movies.  I’ve been blessed to play this strong, powerful character twice before and I can’t wait to kill some more zombies with my friend and colleague Milla Jovovich.

Have a wonderful holiday weekend and, even on the other side of the world, I’ll still be posting new recipes and news so keep coming back for more recipes and news.

Can you give any ideas for a new twist on pasta or spaghetti? Thanks.

I'm a huge fan of Mimi Thorrison's Manger blog. There's a broccoli pasta recipe that's super simple and tasty. Try it out as a lasagna for an interesting twist. http://mimithorisson.com/2012/05/10/broccoli-pasta/
