Sometimes you just need to run away, and the place that I run to is Big Sur. It’s magical, where the mountains meet the sea. It doesn’t just reveal itself to you, you have to go with a desire to discover.

Freshly baked cinnamon buns and strong coffee at the Big Sur Bakery are the ultimate way to start your day, this is the intimate town’s gathering spot. From there, we hiked 4 miles into the spectacular redwoods to find the Tin house, never sure if we were going to find it. The ancient redwoods and sweeping views of the Pacific are awe inspiring.

Coming back to the enchanting Ventana inn means that you get to sleep in nature… with 600 thread count sheets! As the sun sets, the Inn emanates a feeling of warmth with the crackling fires and delicious local wines and cheeses, the baby deer might just follow you to dinner.

Another gem is the Big Sur Roadhouse. We stumbled upon it, and Matt Glazer is really doing something special there! Between his welcoming smile, local family roots, and fried chicken lollipops- this place is not to be missed.

Big Sur is filled with beauty and lore. It is a place to recharge and reconnect with nature. If I ever go missing, you know where to find me. Xx
